CMOS++ is a strategic research cluster at Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork, established in 2020. CMOS++ brings together over 15 Principal Investigators, aligning the research of their teams (over 40 researchers) around the CMOS++ Programme with the aim to enable Deep Tech innovation for Information Processing Interfacing with CMOS and Beyond.
The CMOS++ Programme is organised around frontier research in enabling capabilities:
- Material Growth and Atomic Scale Processing
- Materials Integration and Device Fabrication
- Advanced Characterisation
- Atomic Scale Simulations and Theoretical Modelling
Our objective is to develop technologies and applications for:
Tyndall researchers within CMOS++ are in a unique position to realise such platforms and engage with industry to accelerate research path-finding and translate to innovations.
